Guest guest
I got those once! The doctor shrugged them off. He said he could inject them with cortisone but that it really wasn't worth the bother. They did make me very, very nervous but they sort of ran their course and were gone in a couple weeks or so, as I recall. That was a couple years ago. They never came back. From: chimera46@... Not like the rash on top of my skin but they feel hard and you can see them. Has anyone had this experience or know what it is? I was going to message my doctor tomorrow. He will have 24 hours to get back to me. Should I be worried? Thanks my friends. Guest guest
Hi Chi, I've had something that sounds similar which turned out to be eczema. I've had several different types of eczema depending on the weather, humidity and how often I wash my hands. Sometimes it's itchy, sometimes it's not, sometimes it's red, sometimes it's white, sometimes it's raised, and sometimes it's flat. In all cases, it's never been a serious problem. Take care, Tracey > > today I noticed I have several small little bumps under my skin on the back of my hands. Not > like the rash on top of my skin but they feel hard and you can see them. Guest guest
Thanks Tracey- I was worried because I found something called leukemia cutis or something like that which looked very much like what I have- little round bumps under my skin- they feel like uncooked rice- but round like tiny pearls. I also have something similar inside above my elbow that he saw but said- I don't think that is anything to worry about. Being new to this game everything has the potential to make me worry I have moved to another phase. Did have something strange happen this am. After my shower a shooting pain in my eye and then some redness like I was out partying. This getting old is for the birds. I'm off work today on a furlough day- we have to take two days off a month without pay. But I'm happy to have a job so I'm enjoying my day off. Okay-Not going to worry anymore. I'm going out for a 5 mile walk. Training for the Avon two day walk in September and The LLS Nike Women's 1/2 marathon in October. Take care CML family- we are all here for another day!!!! Guest guest
I had the bumps were all over and would come and go. The ones in the scalp were the most painful hurt to touch but thank goodness they all went away. I mentioned it to my dr and he said hmph... Guest guest
these don't hurt at all. I think the only doc that I would let say hmph -would be Dr. Druker or another CML specialist. Long before I was diagnosed my body tried to tell me something was wrong but my blood work didn't show it. I was tested almost weekly for for 4 months until my white cells started spiking and I got a diagnosis. I've had a total body rash, a rash on my neck that looked like someone pulled my skin off in strips, problems with thin skin, so much water in my issues that my hands left an imprint like silly putty- but having lumps of any kind when I already have cancer makes me nervous. I think I'm going to ask them to do a biopsy - no harm no foul. I have enough on my mind without seeing how many new bumps pop up. I have had the one near my elbow since September -if they are normal- hallelujah but if not I need to know now. I'll keep you posted. > From: anita <awristen1@...> > Subject: Re: [ ] help before I freak out > > Date: Monday, February 23, 2009, 5:41 PM > I had the bumps were all over and would come and go.
