Guest guest
I've been off MTX for over 6 months so I didn't think my recently blurred vision was a result of that. I got new glasses about 5 weeks ago and they just seemed wrong, despite having the prescription checked twice. I was ready to chalk this up to advancing age (pushing 50) and PA until today. I stepped on my titanium glasses and broke them. When I returned them to the optometrist for repair he wanted to know why I wasn't wearing them to read. " Because my vision is so blurred and it's so hard to focus with these new glasses. " He immediately checked to see what I had been wearing before and told me I was one of those few people who cannot adapt to polycarbonate lenses! He told me he would make a pair of regular plastic lenses for free and he guaranteed that would solve the problem. I was stunned with the results. I can see clearly, I can focus, and I have the mid range back in my progressives. So before you decide your PA is the problem, if you recently got new glasses, check on the type of lenses. It might just be that simple! _________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com. Guest guest
Hi Wanda, I just read your post and was wondering if you are taking Vioxx or Celebrex. I was taking Vioxx and I starting getting blurred vision in one eye. The eye doctor could not find anything wrong. I thought maybe it could be one of medications causing it. I looked at one of my web sites that tell you the side affects of meds. The site is, medicinenet.com. I checked for the side affects of Vioxx and it said it could cause blurred vision. I stopped taking the Vioxx and after about a 7 to 10 days my vision cleared up. I then started taking it again and my one eye got blurred again. I tried Celebrex and the same thing happened. Vioxx really helps, so I tried just taking it every other day and sometime I would go every two days. I have been doing this for over a month now and I have no vision problems. Guest guest
Yep, blurred vision is one of the more common symptoms, mine went away completely. Guest guest
and Penni, I have the blurred vision. Really I lost a lot of eye sight in my right eye. I did the VCS screening at Dr. Kolb's and she said I failed the test and it was pretty bad. I plan on going to the eye doctor when I can get some cash to go.. Yes I know it's implant related that is for sure. I noticed things going on with my eyes. I once again believed all the idiots telling me it was from nerves. Its implants too, Dr. Kolb even agrees and she claims to see this alot, it's a typical symptom from implant bio-toxin disease. Guest guest
I also have blurred vision. I saw the eye doctor yesterday and he said it is called pigment dispensation. He also could see my red floaters in my right eye. I see an ophthalmologist next week for the floaters. I don't know for sure but I figured these are implant related. Penni Blurred vision Does anyone else have blurred vision ? Does this get better with explant ? I didn't know if its because I'm 47 or if its theses damn implants...It comes and goes. Guest guest
Hi Margaret, I'm sorry to hear of the troubles you're having with your eyes. I haven't seen any link between Gleevec and macular degeneration but of course that doesn't mean that it's not possible. Here is one article I found that describes the various ocular side effects that have been linked to Gleevec: http://tinyurl.com/br7n4k Take care, Tracey --- In , Margaret Peake <mpraymond@...> wrote: > > I remember reading some time ago about how some CMLers are bothered with blurred vision. Could you please refresh my memory about this condition? Do others have this problem and what have you done? I'm on a 3 month check up schedule with the opthamalogist and have had to change glasses more frequently because of change in my vision. > Â > thanks. > > > > Margaret , > mpraymond@... > margaret-raymond@... > Â > Â > Â > > > Â > > > > > > > > > > > > > >
Guest guest
Hi, I dont know if it is because of gleevec or not but i have same problem. Blurred vision when i'm tired and evenings. I went to doc and learned that i have astigmatism but at a low degree. Now i use glasses when i need to. > > > >> > >> I remember reading some time ago about how some CMLers are bothered > > with blurred vision. Guest guest
Hi Marcos and Zavie, I took my Gleevec at night for years then started taking it at breakfast to see if it would have any impact on the periorbital edema. It didn't. I saw no difference at all. There are two things though, that I have noticed which have a significant effect and that's the amount of sleep I get and how dehydrated I am. If I get less than 6 hours sleep, or I'm a little dehydrated then my eyes are almost swollen shut in the morning. I get the watery eyes occasionally too which of course causes some blurriness and like Marcos, I've noticed that my night vision isn't as sharp as it used to be so I got glasses for driving at night but I'm not ready to blame Gleevec on that just yet. Guest guest
Well mine isn't fuzzy vision... It's blurred vision. Like it goes in and out of focus. Seems to be something internal going on... as oppose to dryness. but I appreciate the help. i may ask my optometrist > Anybody here have/had a bad case of blurred vision and cured it? > > > It's my most annoying symptom and I sort of judge my success around it. > > > > > >
Guest guest
I have blurred vision as well. It seems to correlate with my overall wellness. If I am herxing, the vision problems are worse. When I am feeling good, my vision seems to improve. I try to do a lot of detoxing, which seems to help. Anita
Guest guest
I've had bouts of blurred vision as well. Seems to vary throughout the day and is usually during times of increased floaters. Also I have had 3 occasions of something (optic neuritis I think) where one pupil is sluggish and/or stays very dilated while I get extremely blurred vision in that eye and pain behind the eye. CT was fine so I think its just the Lyme inflaming my optic nerve. I just ordered Stephania to try that as Buhner suggests for eye symptoms.
