Guest guest
The medicine can be addictive at least I have seen patients addicted to it. I have always just used Motrin/ibuprofen on days that the muscle/bone pain is not tolerable. It takes the edge off so that I can tolerate the pain better. I don't get stomach upset with it and it does the job. I find that with narcotics like percocet and lortab and such, they make me drowsy and dopey and I cant stand feeling like that. Ibuprofen doesn't give me that " hung over " feeling. Hope that helps- That is just my experience! Guest guest
My doc prescribed oxycodone for my bone and joint pain, but I'm afraid to take it! I never take two any closer than a week apart. Isn't that stuff highly addictive? Is there something else that is effective but is not addictive? From: terrydailey@... My bone pain went away for a few months but came back worse later. I take 4 500mgs of Loritab a day(sometimes more) and that helps. I am trying to remain with the same pain medication level as long as I can sense it does not seem like it is going to go away for good. Hang in there and like was mentioned if your Doc is not listening get a new one. Guest guest
Oxycodone I have been taking one a day for the past year for arthritis and on golf days, I take two. It is not a problem for me. I don't feel that it is at all addictive at this level. I too, was concerned, and spoke to my Doctor and have been assured it is o.k. It really works. ________________________________ From: Rosen Lum <rrosenlum@...> Sent: Thursday, February 26, 2009 3:04:46 PM Subject: RE: [ ] Re: Severe bone/joint/muscle pain My doc prescribed oxycodone for my bone and joint pain, but I'm afraid to take it!
