Do some of you have the same problem? [ ] Dyspepsia - your could have it You're having trouble with your stomach. You feel uncomfortable. It's not heartburn, but it may be related to eating. You feel bloated and full. You complain of nausea, or sometimes you even vomit. You think you might be having " indigestion. " Doctors call it dyspepsia - literally, " bad digestion. " The word is derived from the Greek dys, which means bad, and peptein, which means " to cook " or " to digest. " The term functional dyspepsia (FD) is used to describe persistent upper abdominal pain that's often related to eating, and for which there is no identifiable cause such as peptic ulcer disease. Because peptic ulcer disease produces similar symptoms, functional dyspepsia is sometimes called nonulcer dyspepsia. Sound familiar? Guest guest
Lottie, Strange that you would write about this dyspepsia, it sounds exactly the problem I encountered with Gleevec 300 mgs. I would always feel this way after a rain storm at night, and when it was very humid out doors, and just right after dinner. In those days, I was a meat consumer, and a dairy consumer. I found out the hard way, to eliminate both, and consume more dark green veggies, instead of the meat and dairy as I felt it was too acidic after I took the Gleevec. No Primary Physician ever figure this out, but placed me in a hospital, then tested the gallbladder, and then confirmed I had acute pancretitis. That's when she took me off of Gleevec for 10 days, while observing me in a hospital. I lived on I.V's and no meals! Came out of the hospital 15 lbs. lighter, and no more pain. Went for a FISH test, the next day, and the FISH test in 3 days result indicated my cancer had returned. This is where the Oncologist believed I relapsed, while off of Gleevec. I never had those pains again after I stopped consuming meat and diary products while on Gleevec 400 mgs., and I now take food enzymes to break down those foods that my body cannot digest. I liked that article you forward in the past about Glycemic, the alkaline and the acidic foods, it makes common sense for some of us! Thanks for sending us a very interesting article! I have never heard of this before! Kudo's to you Lottie!!!
