Guest guest
Thank you Lottie. My father actually passed away 5 years ago this coming July. He was in the Air Force at the very tail end of the Korean War, and was an engineer. He participated in the atomic testing going on at that time in the South Pacific and Nevada. He was actually at the testing of the first Hydrogen bomb (that might have been the Enewetok (sp?) one). His cancer was most certainly tobacco related, and he was otherwise healthy until that diagnosis, so there is no evidence that the radiation harmed him. The discussion about the possibility of inherited leukemia is what prompted my curiosity. Even though I was conceived at least 12 years after his exposure, it does make me wonder if my CML has anything to do with it.
