Hi Eva:

I just saw your post regarding your numbers jumping all over, and

when I was on the Interferon, my liver functions went up. Once they

stopped my Interferon, everything came back down. Your liver can

rejuvenate itself, unlike other organs. Try to stay positive until you

see what they want to do. Maybe Gleevec is not the choice for you, but

I do agree that you should be checked more often. I did not follow as

to when you were diagnosed or how long you have been on Gleevec.

I hope your seeing a doctor who specializes in CML. I have found

that some doctors are not up on these new treatments.

Just have faith that it will all resolve itself. I have been sick

with some kind of virus, and have not been on here to really read whats

going on. Take Care.

You have only been on Gleevec for a year, and you are fortunate that there are

other treatments available.  When I started Gleevec in 2000, there was no other

choice.  It had to work for me or I do not know what I would have done.  I see

so many people doing good on Tasigna and Sprycel.  Now that they know target

therapy works, there will be even newer and better treatments.  They are working

on something new everyday.  Take Care
