Guest guest
Hi . It¹s great that the sleep clinic is helping find meds that work. A good night¹s sleep is elusive to so many of us. It must be exciting to see your daughter take her first step towards independence. I¹m sure it will be strange to have no kids at home for the first time. It sounds like she has a great support system in place and will do just fine. I hope you feel better. Guest guest
Hi Maureen, Welcome to our new family. So happy to see you posting. I know you will be most comfortable with everyone here....We have received a warm welcome. Guest guest
Welcome Maureen!...glad to have you as part of the group. I've found this group to be an valuable resource...I don't post much because I simply don't have the time but try to respond from time to time...I've found that whenever I have a problem with RA I send a post and get quite a few responses which help me...again, welcome!!! Tony Diagnosed with RA Feb 99 on AP since Oct 99 Minocycline 100mg twice daily Celebrex when I need it rheumatic Hi Everyone! Hi! I'm Maureen from RB group....Please bear with me, cause I'm not so great on the PC...much better on my work computer....I'm very happy to be here. I hadn't been going to the RB bulletin board for awhile-on vacation etc., so when I discovered all my favorites there gone, I had to find them! I've been trying to read some of the posts here for the past month and trying to familiarize myself with the format here before I jumped in. Just a little about myself...I was diagnosed with RA about 20 years ago. Until Jan 1999 it would come and go periodically. Meds would put me back in remission fairly quickly, and then BAM...Jan 1999 I found myself on my back not able to move....I found RB & the cheif angel-Marge and the others especially Socjog, Barb, Jeanette, Betty and many more angels, who rescued me in I think March of 2000. I started AP in April of that year. I got off prednisone about 9 months ago. I am in the process of weaning off Enbrel (so sorry I got on that!) and take some supplements. It has been a long way, but today I am SO much better. Still have a few pain problems, but I am sure I will overcome them eventually. Again, I'm happy to be here and hope I will be able to contribute things I have learned these past couple of years.Love to all-MaureenTo unsubscribe, email: rheumatic-unsubscribeegroups

Guest guest
Heidi, Hope you enjoy (enjoyed) your beach weekend. You deserve it after the week you've had! I like Chloe--that's a pretty name. Fabian makes me think of the singer of the 60's, on whom I had a serious crush. We took the kids to see the Easter Bunny last night--Bunny held 2 babies, and TJ held " his favorite--Allan. " I was pleased that TJ didn't run crying away from this giant rabbit, but as long as " his " babies were there and content, guess he figured it was safe. Allan even managed a smile...just BEFORE they took the picture. We created quite a stir wheeling a triple stroller thru the mall. Ron bought Duane a suit--and he will look super in his black suit, red Spiderman tie, and new dress shoes. I bought a pretty filmy dress and cardigan, and TJ already has his little khakhi slacks and blazer. Now I guess I'd better get myself a new dress too. " Tad " sounds like he/she is growing well. that's a good weight for, what is it, 6 months? Let us know how your weekend was. Beach. Ahhh, what images that brings into my mind. Guest guest
Hi Heidi. It sounds like your life is a little on the crazy side. What a way to get a much needed break in your job. Tad sound like he/she is progressing very well. Chloe is really a nice name. Like Kathe, I think of the singer when I think of Fabian. I don't know any other Fabiens so it would definitely be unique. You have time to think of different names and when you see the little baby you'll know if you made the right choice. I am so excited for you and Jules. Have a great weekend and get plenty of rest. a
Guest guest
Well, that is a serious development for a bank, Heidi. Good thing that your disaster recovery plans were in place and that you got a little break from the regular stresses with your clients. I hope it isn't too hectic when operations return to normal. What caused the flood? I like the names you've chosen for your baby, but it really only matters what you and n think. Glad to hear that you are both healthy. Hope you enjoyed the beach! [ ] Hi Everyone! > Hi Everyone! > > Just checking in quickly to say hi and let you know I'm still alive lol! It's been a strange week, the building where we have our offices flooded over the weekend. The designers in all their wisdom had placed the telecommunications center of the building in the lower basement - which is now still up to the roof in water! What a pain, we have no fax,phone,e-mail and for 3 days no elevator!! (we are on the 7th floor so it was interesting.....not). I work at a bank so this was pretty serious for us and our operations had to move to our disaster recovery site in another building - since my job is very client oriented the upside of it is that I had a very quiet week! It was really just what I needed, no interruptions and a bit of calm (even though it's a false calm as it'll probably be worse once we're back out there lol!). I managed to put some order in my stuff which is great as I'd never have had time otherwise before going on Maternity leave - so I am now one seriously organised soul! This is going to go on for at least another week or two so it'll be interesting! > > Tad is well, we went for a scan on Wednesday, he or she is now about 1.4kgs already and looks very healthy and well. He's already turned head down so is getting ready for the big event. The doctor almost messed up and told us what it was but I managed to stop him in time! We've thought of a boys name so now have both alternatives: " Chloe " for a girl and " Fabian " for a boy - what do you think? It works in English and French so I'm hoping it will wash. > > I've been thinking of you all a lot and catching up sporadically. Guest guest
That's nasty, Judi! My sons had something like that not long ago (of course, not at the same time so as to extend to fun times in the household), but somehow I escaped it so far. I like Tom's style. And SpongeBob is very cool. No need to hide that blanket, LOL! I hope Duane and can remain friendly for everyone's sake. Enjoy your hips. I hope you're wrong and that the relief is permanent. I'll tell you where to go! Guest guest
Hi Judi,....Sorry that you have had the bug, I have already went through it, no fun at all. I'm glad that you have such a wonderful family to be there, and help you. I hope that you feel better, and I will keep you in my prayers, Tawny > It's the " plaid sheep " checking in-- > > I had the best intentions of keeping up with the posts last week, > then had to be the oddball of the family (my biological family that > is) and have a flu bug hit me. Guest guest
Hi Judy. Welcome to the group. Although most of us here have RA, some have lupus, fibromyalgia, another form of arthritis or have a relative with one of these. If you don't have RA or one of those other diseases, I'm curious what made you decide to select this group to join? This is a very caring and friendly group, but the main benefit of belonging here is information on the latest drug treatments and research being done to control the stiffness, joint swelling, and joint destruction that often comes with RA. Feel free to read other posts, everything posted here is meant to be read. It might give you a better sense if this board offers what you are looking for. Guest guest
Hello Congratulations on your baby girl. What is her name? I think you are on the right track to watch how she lais, and to really pay attention to this. I understand that you are conserned, considering that you have already been down this road. I'm sure though with all the eduacation you have, and know how to prevent it, that this will not happen to your daughter. Good luck with the preventive repo.
