Guest guest
Hi: Just a note to let you know I'm still around. A little more battered than before, but still kicking. Since I posted last, I had developed a cancer on my liver that was just found by accident as I was having a benign hemangioma taken off my liver. It was not something that metastasized from anywhere else, as tests found no other tumors anywhere else in my body. My oncologist just mentioned that he found it odd that I developed two rare cancers, CML and liver cancer. " I just don't want to have what everyone else has--I want to be different! Can you blame me? " The surgeon took the tumors out completely with extra margin and thinks that it's gone. But now I have to go through CT scans every 4 months to make sure that it's not coming back. So far no need for chemo unless I should be unfortunate enough to have it return. I am doing well and quickly getting back to normal. My CML is under control and after 11 years I am still PCRU. That's all I have to report.
