Guest guest
A hiatal hernia is a weakening of the top of the stomach leading to the esophagus. It can cause GERD or burning in the upper part of your stomach or lower part of your esophagus. Gleevec does not cause it. You just may have more heartburn as Gleevec is sometimes hard on the stomach On Fri, Mar 20, 2009 at 4:43 PM, Ana <anabu84@...> wrote: > > > At last, my mother had a tube introduced in her stomach, and the doctor > said she has a hernia, (I`m not sure if I´m explaining well in my little > English). > I would like to know if any of you also have a hiato henia, and what is > happenig with gleevec. > >
Guest guest
I have a hiatal hernia too -- I've had it since long before I was diagnosed with CML. I take a Prilosec OTC every day and it more or less prevents the acid reflux and heartburn . . . unless I do something really stupid like eat Indian curry, in which case nothing can save me. > > > > > > > At last, my mother had a tube introduced in her stomach, and the doctor > > said she has a hernia, (I`m not sure if I´m explaining well in my little > > English). > > I would like to know if any of you also have a hiato henia, and what is > > happenig with gleevec. > > > >
