On other quote is from a Successories framed picture with a inspirational

saying. I love those inspirational sayings with the kewl pictures. This

" Essence Of A New Day " one I have doesn't say who the author is. I still as

of this day haven't hung up yet. lol It's in my dining room and look at it

before I head out for the day.

The Essence Of A New Day

" This is the beginning of a new day. You have been given this day to use as

you will. You can waste it or use it for good. What you do today is

important because you are exchanging a day of your life for it. When

tomorrow comes, this day be will gone forever; in its place is something that

you have left behind... Let it be something good. "

If more people would follow what they know, deep down, is right for them they would be happier and healthier. We don't have to follow what others say, just because we feel inferior to them. We can choose what is right for ourselves, regardless of the other person's credentials.

Dear Perfumers,

I came across this quote, referring to drawing...but, you know

what...it translates perfectly to perfumery work as well.

Wishing you all a beautiful venus day!

" Do not fail, as you go on, to draw something every day, for no matter

how little it is it will be well worthwhile, and it will do you a world

of good. "

" There's hardly a man alive who dares to be just

who he is without

doctoring up the impression. "

I heard this quote the other day in a compilation from

http://www.fireonthealtar.com/

(I love listening to these and have

even compiled a few of them) .

Without sharing my thoughts at this time, I'm wondering if anyone else's

first thoughts on this were similar to mine? Please share if this made

an impression on you.

Reminds me of some song lyrics... " we are perfect plastic

people... " I'm wondering about some of the responses that were

sent in regards to our children having speech difficulties.

Specifically, have any parents been able to receive speech for these

little ones before they were actually talking/babbling?? At say,

9mos-1year of age??? I inquired with some of Jack's therapists and

was put off as he is only 8mos. old. I was told " oh, we start that

after they're talking. " My response was to question if it was

working? It seems that this is a major developmental area and they

are not seeing any improvement perhaps, because they keep doing the

same thing?? Is this possible? I wonder if it would be better to be

proactive rather than reactive in speech therapy... any thoughts??

Along this vein, has anyone noticed that teaching sign limits the

kid's desire/motivation to speak? Has anyone had to deal with little

tempers that want to sign when making the crossover to more verbal

speech? Thanks in advance, Becky, Jack's mama

We started with speech at around 10 months but, there wasn't much that she said that our PT and OT hadn't told us already. She has helped us with sign language. I think that Regan's speech would be delayed even if we didn't use the signs. I always put the word with the sign that he makes. Sign has helped us so much just because he can tell us what he wants. As far as when to start maybe ask for an eval and then at least maybe you can get home program. That is what we did. It also let them see that our son was behind even in his babbling. There is a shortage of ST's where we live so that is why they wanted to wait. ~Kay mom to Regan 19 months TODAY!ztribemom <ztribe@...> wrote: Reminds me of some song lyrics..." we are perfect plastic people..." Hi, this is Trish and here are my thoughts on that Quote. To me, my Son is a picture of how the Lord wants us to live. Just fully trusting in Him like one of Andy's shirts says that he wears proudly. "FROG" it says on the front with the back explaining it, "Fully trusting in God" it says Andy is always himself and he never puts on anything other than who the Lord has made him to be. He is himself always. That quote is wonderful! Andy doesn't care if the world sees who he is, and he never doctors up who he is. I admire him greatly! He is the wind beneath my wings. God Bless and have a wonderful day with your sweet child with DS the Lord has blessed you with. My husband and I always feel so blessed to have our Andy who is 35 now with DS.Carol in IL <ps1272000@...> wrote: Reminds me of this quote written by the father of a son with DS- "I am able to hide all ofmy imperfections behind the façade of my relatively normal brain and body.Matt's imperfections just hang out there for the world to see. Sue, that's an excellent quote! I have another for you by ......

" It does not require a majority to prevail, but rather an irate, tireless

minority keen to set brush fires in people's minds. "

I sI saw this on a website today, don't know who the original author is.

I thought it was a very appropriate concept for this group:

" None of us are as smart as all of us. "

Here's to a new year working together, for each other!

Hi everyone,

I found this wonderful quote the other day in a magazine and had to share:

" Life itself.. I wake up every morning and try to have a love affair with

the new day. The best thing is that I can never cheat, because yesterday has

already gone, and I haven't met tomorrow yet!

My love affair with the new day today was RAIN! Something we haven't seen

for 3 months! It smelt incredible and I had fun jumping in the puddles LOL.
