Hi All,

I saw a quote on this site about future governments being judged by how they

treat society's most vulnerable. Can anyone tell me the exact quote and the

author.

Thanks,

Thais

Ok, my friends, have i got one for you.

I was in my local produce Mkt. - unfortunately my garden is between crops -

a woman was picking out some zucchini from some very bad looking squash, at

$1.79 a pound. I said its too bad you don't live near me, I could give you

some of those for free. And she said, " Not me. I ain't gonna eat nothin'

growed in somebody's yard " . So there was no more conversation with that

person. Some people will never be educated.

We are very far removed from the barnyard and the garden. I can remember even

myself being " afraid " of finding a bug in my lettuce. Now I just rinse it off.

Having my own garden cured me of any misconceptions about food--and really made

me wonder about how much chemicals are used in store-bought, non-organic foods.

Until we have the courage to recognize cruelty for what it is--whether its

victim is human or animal--we cannot expect things to be much better in this

world... We cannot have peace among men whose hearts delight in killing any

living creature. By every act that glorifies or even tolerates such moronic

delight in killing we set back the progress of humanity.
