Guest guest
It is important to NOT give anything to reduce fever, such as Tylenol. I've heard that oatmeal baths help with the itching, but I'm not sure how much oatmeal to put in the bath. Just put about a cup or 1/2 cup in an old sock and tie a knot. Let it soak in the tub--my girls had a blast squeezing the " oatmeal milk " in the tub and in cups and rubbing it on them. After the tub I just opened the sock and dumped the oatmeal in the toilet and rinsed the sock out and used it again. They probably took about 4 baths a day when it was bad and it's a nice distraction from the itching. Jen L.
Guest guest
Oat Meal baths are very helpful to deal with itching. I have taken a few myself. Oatmeal is cheap so be generous with it. Guest guest
When they pulled off the polio scam in the 1950s that is exactly the same ploy they used. The doc would ask if the kid was vaxed. If mom said yes than it wasn't polio. If mom said no than it was polio. Have another laugh, tell your doc it can't be viral, because viruses don't exist. See Dr. Lanka's web or read " Fear of the invisible by . Jim O' Founder of S.I.N.B.A.D. Shots in babies are deadly, and drugs(meds) also. ________________________________ From: Tomi <momitomi@...> Vaccinations Sent: Friday, February 27, 2009 3:19:47 PM Subject: Re: Chickenpox Well, my husband just talked to the boys mom and she took her son to the Dr. this morning and he said he isn't sure it is chickenpox. He says because the boy is vaxed there isn't a good chance it is. I laughed and told my husband that that is the excuse Dr's give when someone comes down with a " vaccine preventable " disease and they have been vaxed. The doctor told her that he thinks it might be a viral infection. The little boy is almost 3, and he did have the chickenpox vax. I guess I will just have to wait and see if my son gets it. I didn't get to talk to her so I am not sure if anyone else in his daycare has it. I will try to find out from her. I will post more if my son shows any symptoms. Thanks, Tomi
Guest guest
A doctor should be able to tell. I guess it's easier to get paid for dismissing it than to actually put more thought into it. Lazy doctor. What does he think CP is, anyway, if not a viral infection? Guest guest
That's great news Marcos - have a great holiday! Regards, from Down Under From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Marcos Perreau Guimaraes Sent: Friday, 13 March 2009 12:33 PM Subject: [ ] Re: chickenpox Good news, the varicella test came back positive, so I shouldn't have to fear my adorable little niece that looks like a pizza right now the poor thing. It would have been heartbreaking to be avoiding her the whole time. And we ll have a prescription of acyclovir in case any of us catch it. My new onc at kaiser was really on the ball on that one, she answered my email in about 10mn and ordered the test stat so all went really fast. I was a bit embarrassed to have a problem in her first month when I didn't see the previous onc for about 2 years, but now I feel like I can count on her. That's good news too. Thanks everyone for sharing your chickenpox stories.
