Guest guest
Dear Lynn, I agree with Rogene that maybe the Fungal Defense is doing its job and unfortunately making you feel badly. I'm sure your body is also ridding itself of the drugs and other stuff from surgery too. I think you might be peeing so much to help your body rid itself of toxins. Will be quite strange to pick up your implants.. I guess all the women do this. I think it will be liberating to hold them in your hands and know that they are out of your body once and for all!!! I guess that is the day that the rest of your tape come off too and you get to see your results! Exciting!! Katy:)spinkscl <spinkscl@...> wrote: I am picking up my implants on Monday. I just called the surgical center in Denver and they said they have them in alcohol. Is this correct? I couldn't remember. Also, I began the Fungal Defense yesterday and I am feeling sort of yucky today. I also have three bright red hives on my back that itch horribly. Perhaps it was from the tape? I am trying to use extra strength Tylenol all day if possible. Possibly go back to work tomorrow. Hope I feel better than today Lynn Ask a question on any topic and get answers from real people. Guest guest
Wear rubber gloves if you touch those implants. I know Dr. Blais will not touch one without gloves. Guest guest
I agree Katy. I quit the fungal defense for now, it really did a number on me. I need to take my 3 150 mg Diflucan pills and then I will slowly work the fungal defense into my system (maybe a 1/2 a pill a day). It will be freaky to get the implants. I am sure my husband will want nothing to do with that It does feel nice to have them gone. I just wish I felt a little healthier. I had my three day honeymoon period and now I am back to having the arthritic pains in my fingers and hip. Perhaps I never really had a honeymoon - I am thinking it was the percocet. I know it is a healing process that will take a while and I need to be patient. Hugs, Lynn > I am picking up my implants on Monday. Guest guest
Hi Lynn, don't worry too much about this. I was told by numerous doctors that the fibromyalgia never goes away, they have me prescr for muscle relaxants and that is all they know. I would lie in bed and shake from the pain, all over. I am sooo much better now. I think the body needs to detox, and although I never thought I had yeast, never had any symptoms to think this, I guess I did because the diflucan knocked it out and for while all the pain was gone. So those other drs do not know what the heck they are saying. You will get better, just expect some time. I am three months now explant, and although I can say I don't feel great, when I compare it to right after explant I am better. Did you go back to work? Love Nan > > I am picking up my implants on Monday. I just called the > surgical > > center in Denver and they said they have them in alcohol. Is this > > correct? Guest guest
Thank you for the hope Nan. You are so great! I did go back to work today. I was so nervous that everybody would notice. I told everybody I was on vacation and then realized that it is very noticable that the twins are gone!! I planned on getting a push-up bra with padding but right now I still have stitches and I don't think the wire would feel to great on the incisions. I wore a baggy sweater. I found myself sitting most of the day at my desk and when I got up to walk I would hold papers in front of my chest. Don't get me wrong, I am so so so happy they are gone and they look great (even with bandages) but I don't want to explain. I am more embarrassed by the fact I every had implants than the fact they are gone. One the weekends and around my friends and family, I plan to wear snug, small, nice fitting clothes that show off my new figure (or old). Work was very hard. I ended up leaving at 2:30, but made it most of the day on Advil. Good news, I was approved for FMLA protection. This means that any sick days I utilize for my surgery will be protected and can't be held against me for performance reviews or promotions. It is like it never happened. Talk to you soon, Lynn PS... I need to take my Diflucan! It is $10 a pill though, wow. Is it best to do three days in a row? That is all I can get. > > > I am picking up my implants on Monday. Guest guest
Lynn, There is a generic for Diflucan that is just as good. They don't usually tell people about it, but it is much cheaper. spinkscl <spinkscl@...> wrote: Thank you for the hope Nan. You are so great! I did go back to work today. Guest guest
-Lynn I can relate, I went from a d-dd to a large B, but I am more wide so I have little cleavage, on top of that I have to wear a c cup for the width so there is not much in there! BUT I found the BEST bra from Hanes Barely There, called the push up bra, and it has just a little push up and some padding, and it is sooo comfy and comparable to the VS bras at a lot less money. I bought one in Penneys and then ordered more online from Hanes because I love it. So, in my c cup bra with the padding I don' think a lot of people have noticed. If I don't wear a padded bra I look different. Did you get a lift, guess you don't need one with no kids right? Love Nan -- In , " spinkscl " <spinkscl@...> wrote: > > Thank you for the hope Nan. Guest guest
Thanks for that info Nan...I bought an expensive bra from Secret after my explant. First time I've ever spent that much money on a bra. It's a push up but not comfortable. I think I will give this one you have mentioned a shot. Thanks! nnnttwilliams <nnnttwilliams@...> wrote: -Lynn I can relate, I went from a d-dd to a large B, but I am more wide so I have little cleavage, on top of that I have to wear a c cup for the width so there is not much in there! Guest guest
I did not get a lift, only fat transfers. I may have my hubby take some more photos and ask Rogene if she can add them to my shutterfly file. I am still really taped up. I can't seem to get the marker off my skin either. Some of it is fading but there is still much I can't get off. I can't take a bath yet due to my open wounds. I have tried soap and water (in the shower) and even alcohol. I also have the sticky residue from the multiple bandages that won't come off. Lynn > > > > > I am picking up my implants on Monday. Guest guest
Lynn, If you get to the point where you can share with co-workers, and educate all those people about the dangers of implants. I hope you can get to that point, as we work on every opportunity to tell people the dangers of implants. Lynda At 06:20 PM 4/19/2007, you wrote: >Thank you for the hope Nan. Guest guest
Lynn, I had to put soap on the sticky stuff and me and my fiance had to scrap it with our fingernails with the soap on it. Guest guest
Lynda, There is a women I work with who found out she was pregnant and during her pre-op visit they found a breast lump, it was cancer. I don't know her too well but I found out that her choices were chemo/radi and abort the baby or mastectomy and keep the baby. She chose to keep the baby and get the mastectomy. I believe after she delivers she is thinking of implants. I have talked to a friend of mine, who knows about my situation, and who knows this person as well. I have asked her to give this lady the link to this group. I told her to have her read the stories in the files. I am trying but right now I feel it is too personal. Later I hope to have the courage. Whenever I am not at work, I tell the story. I do not want anybody to go through what we have all been through (and are going through). Lynn > > > > > I am picking up my implants on Monday. Guest guest
Hi Lynn, I understand, I have a few friends from 1990-91, in my original group, that will tell strangers, but not friends. I know it is personal. If you ever have the opportunity and feel that you can do it, it would be great. It does always have to be your decision. Guest guest
The photos are up . . however, I messed up and duplicated some . . . maybe Patty will help me get it straightened out. Rogene Re: Implants I did not get a lift, only fat transfers. Lynn> > > > > I am picking up my implants on Monday. Guest guest
Lynn, My heart goes out to this women that you work with. How devastating it must be for her... so bittersweet. Even if you can get some support to her indirectly it will be beneficial. Luckily, she has some time before she would be considering the implant(s) and hopefully she will be able to review all of her options. I feel like you do to be grateful everyday for how blessed I am in my life despite the struggles! Katy:)spinkscl <spinkscl@...> wrote: Lynda,There is a women I work with who found out she was pregnant and during her pre-op visit they found a breast lump, it was cancer. I do not want anybody to go through what we have all been through (and are going through).Lynn> > > > > I am picking up my implants on Monday. Guest guest
Lynn, The surgical marker is probably made of ventian violet and really takes its time disappearing! Should be gone after a week though. I forgot abut the part where they have to draw on you... As for the adhesive, anything oil based should dissolve it gently. Sweet almond oil, or grapeseed oil, probably even olive oil. Katy:)spinkscl <spinkscl@...> wrote: I did not get a lift, only fat transfers. Guest guest
Lynn, Wonderful news about the sick day protection!! I knew it would work out for you! I know exactly what you mean about being embarrassed about having ever had the implants. For me my implants scream, "I'm insecure and vain", two characteristics I do not wish to indulge!! I am trying to remember my 18 yr old teenage breasts before I messed with them and I just have no idea what to expect when these implants come out... Try not to be too self concious of your new look. I bet you nobody even notices, or they'll probably just think you lost some weight or something. Katy:)spinkscl <spinkscl@...> wrote: Thank you for the hope Nan. It is like it never happened.Talk to you soon,LynnPS... I need to take my Diflucan! It is $10 a pill though, wow. Is it best to do three days in a row? That is all I can get. > > > I am picking up my implants on Monday. Guest guest
Great idea... All I could think of was goo-gone but knew I couldn't put that on my body. I have been scraping with my nails but it hurts because of the brusing and inflammation. Rogene posted some photos of the tape marks and bruises. It looks better in photos than it feels Thanks for the advice! You are wonderful! Lynn > > > > > > I am picking up my implants on Monday. Guest guest
Katy, I feel the same! What the heck was I thinking!! I thinking back when I got them I was watching Stern show a lot (stupid I know) I was young. They were always giving away free implants and bragging how wonderful they looked, etc. etc.... I was young, thought they were safe - seemed like so many women were getting them. Katy, I just love my new small breasts! I really really do. They are soft. When I get the bandages off on Monday, I will ask my hubby to take more photos. There are additional photos under shutterfly but I am pretty taped up, barely can see my nipples. It is funny you mentioned that people probably won't even notice because last night I went to dinner with some of my family and one of my cousins asked how I felt after surgery. I said I was sore. He said now what female type surgery did you have, another endometriosis surgery. I said no, I had and explant. He asked... of what?? I could not believe he did not notice. Made me smile Hugs, Lynn > > > > I am picking up my implants on Monday. I just called > > the > > > surgical > > > > center in Denver and they said they have them in alcohol. Guest guest
Lynn, See how observant people really are????? Boy, that tells a tale. The majority of people may not even notice. Many women have told us that even their friends did not notice until they told them. Lynda At 01:49 PM 4/21/2007, you wrote: >Katy, > >I feel the same! What the heck was I thinking!!
