Guest guest
Lynn, My own boyfriend didn't even know I had implants before I told him... Neither did the boyfriend before him!! I think people are often unobservant,. I like to keep that in mind when I am feeling self conscious about my implants. I suspect that I will, ironically, be much more comfortable with my real boobs and stop trying to hide my body so much! Gives me the creeps to think of them giving away free implants on Stern or other shows... I thought, naively, that a bigger bust would change my life and it indeed did, but not for the better!! So glad you are enjoying your results!! Katy:)spinkscl <spinkscl@...> wrote: Katy,I feel the same! What the heck was I thinking!! I thinking back when I got them I was watching Stern show a lot (stupid I know) I was young. They were always giving away free implants and bragging how wonderful they looked, etc. etc.... I was young, thought they were safe - seemed like so many women were getting them. Katy, I just love my new small breasts! I really really do. They are soft. When I get the bandages off on Monday, I will ask my hubby to take more photos. There are additional photos under shutterfly but I am pretty taped up, barely can see my nipples. It is funny you mentioned that people probably won't even notice because last night I went to dinner with some of my family and one of my cousins asked how I felt after surgery. I said I was sore. He said now what female type surgery did you have, another endometriosis surgery. I said no, I had and explant. He asked... of what?? I could not believe he did not notice. Made me smile :)Hugs,Lynn> > > > I am picking up my implants on Monday. I just called > > the > > > surgical > > > > center in Denver and they said they have them in alcohol. Guest guest
Katy, Yours are under the muscle right? Mine were not, I could feel them. I guess if nobody touched them people probably didn't know but if anybody touched them they could tell right off the bat. My husband asked me about it the first time we went to 1st base (ha ha...). Guest guest
Lynn, Yeah mine are under the muscle, but I can feel them alot anyways. I don't think I have much natural tissue. That is how I found my lump so quickly; as soon as it popped up it was so obvious! To me my implants feel like water balloons. They have gotten much more firm over the years, although I have been told they have no capsular constriction. I have a question for you.. Did Dr Huang tell you anything about breastfeeding after the fat transfers?? I know that just having implants can make breastfeeding complicated or impossible, but I am still concerned about this issue because when I get my health restored and all the garbage out of my body, I would like to have a baby one day too if I can. Guest guest
, You might ask Lynn, who is on the line and had her surgery just over a week ago in Denver, about Dr. Huang, who is miles closer to you and quite reasonable in cost. Lynn, maybe you can share your experience with . And tell her about the pictures we have posted of before and after. Guest guest
Hi Katy, She didn't mention anything, but I didn't ask. I see her in 6 weeks again, I could ask her then if you'd like. I do want a baby badly, but I don't know that I am going to breast feed. I know it is very good for a baby but I don't know if it is something I personally want to do. I know my hubby keeps saying - now that they are you - you are breast feeding. Too bad they aren't his boobs I don't mind asking her Katy. I am so sorry you found a lump!! I sure hope this speeds things up for you to get them out and perhaps some sort of insurance relief. Lynn > > > > > > I am picking up my implants on Monday. Guest guest
Hi , Dr. Huang is WONDERFUL, very affordable as well. If you call for an estimate - beware, they estimate on the high side. I believe my estimate was about $5,000 more than the actual cost. However, I did not need a lift. I had fat transfers from other parts of my body injected into my breast after explant to add fullness. I just had surgery last Friday, still recovering. You can find out more info on Dr. Huang at www.lindahuangmd.com Also, you can see my most recent surgery photos and others for women who have shared on this site at: The password is implants http://.shutterfly.com/action/ Good luck in your search for a doctor and again - I am so happy you found this board. I feel blessed everyday. Hugs, Lynn > > > > > > > I am picking up my implants on Monday. Guest guest
Lynn, No problem, I will ask when I call back and talk to her coordinator again.... I won't know much about the lump until the end of May, I have to wait a total of 2 months for an ultrasound. I am trying not to think about it until then. Things will either go one way or the other regarding my explant; either I will find a surgeon I am comfortable with here in Ontario and it will be covered by health insurance and I will wait about 1 year for surgery or I will just go to one of the surgeons in the US who are recommended. I have been exploring both options for a couple of months now. Getting closer everyday!! Katy:) spinkscl <spinkscl@...> wrote: Hi Katy,She didn't mention anything, but I didn't ask. Guest guest
This reminds me, I picked up the implants yesterday. They are sitting in two plastic (non see through containers on a shelf). I can't see them unless I open the lid, a little nervous to. The shells are gone though, it is just the implants. Guess I need to get them off to Dr. Blais?? Guest guest
Oh, Lynn, please be very careful. If you want to look into the pails, put rubber gloves on first and then throw the gloves away. You might want to take a picture of them. Remember to tape the lids on when you are finished. Love you....Lea ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~``` Re: Implants This reminds me, I picked up the implants yesterday. Guest guest
Thank you for the tips Lea. I will need to buy some rubber gloves. I haven't had the nerve to look yet. Guest guest
Lynda, Yes. Lynda took all of the photos that Rogene posted on shutterfly for me. Are these the photos you mean? I know they are all cleaned up now because I don't see red in the containers. The shells are gone. They were sent to pathology - I know this because I just got a wonderful bill in the mail for $500+ today. I am going to try to send it through insurance, doubt it will get paid, but I am going to try anyway Lynn > > > > > > > > Does anyone know any reason why I should keep my implants? Guest guest
Ok, saw them. You look good, your breasts look just about the right size for your slim body. Why are the implants red? Guest guest
Ok, they are still in the scar tissue, I wondered. That makes sense. Hope work is going ok. Are you getting too tired? Guest guest
Hi Lynda, I haven't been feeling well the last two days. I can tell my thyroid is inflamming again and my arthritic pains in my fingers is back. I am very sleepy but if I try to take a nap I end up waking up in a panic with my heart racing. Not sure what to think. I am following the diet. I am taking my vitamins. Guess I am still healing and the couple of days that I was feeling great were part of the honeymoon. I don't see Dr. Huang until 5/31. Thanks for asking, Lynn > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Does anyone know any reason why I should keep my > >implants? > > > > > >I've > > > > > > > > > got them in > > > > > > > > > > my house and after 2 1/2 years I'm sooooooooooo sick > >of > > > > > >looking > > > > > > > >at > > > > > > > > > the > > > > > > > > > > container. Guest guest
Lynn, Maybe it was the french fries? That would do it to me. Take care of yourself. Rest this weekend. Watch the diet. That is about all I can say. You will get better. Lynda At 09:44 PM 4/26/2007, you wrote: >Hi Lynda, > >I haven't been feeling well the last two days. Guest guest
Lynn, Sorry to hear you haven't been feeling very well:( Just as an example by how much diet can throw you off: I ate wheat the past couple of days and I have felt just awful! My feet swelled up so much that my shoes didn't fit!! I was shocked by how much I reacted after I have been abstaining.. Also, I fell down the stairs yesterday morning, so that has really added to the aches and pains! I hope you will have some more good days soon:) Hugs!
