Guest guest
Uh, oh, when you have the candida/fungus, it can cause gluten problems and you may have just joined that group. You might want to keep a log of things you eat that you could react to, and how you feel the next several days after eating it. Also, carrots and onions are in the sweets section , believe it or not............I know Soy bothers me alot, and so does MSG, both make me swell and make me nausiated. Today, I found one of my vitamins has soy in it, so I have to find a new one without it in there.........could be part of my edema problem besides my kidneys........ It is amazing what they put in foods that is totally unnecessary. I am allergic to corn...........boy does that do a big elimination.................I hope you get to feeling better. Be sure you are getting enough Vit D, as not enough causes pain to intensify. same with magnesium. Try running a warm pan of water with epsom salts in it and soak your hands in it, see if that helps them you some. Sending you lots of love and healing energy........DedeSee what's free at AOL.com. Guest guest
Hi Katy, I am so sorry you fell. How horrible. I sure hope you are doing okay. I have been eating a lot of wheat because many of the recipes in the Yeast Connection call for wheat flour. Is there something I should know? Guest guest
Lynn, I think everyone is probably different, but the only way I have been able to get a vague idea of what foods work and what foods don't is trial and error. I would like to get propely tested for allergies someday.. If you want to try and avoid wheat, you can use an alternative flour instead.. kamut, spelt, rice... I think kamut and spelt and rye have gluten, can't remember right now.. I mostly stick to rice products.. rice cakes instead of crackers or bread.. I still eat wheat occassionally but find it makes me swell up, and sore, also congested and constipates me. This is just the case for me though and it may be totally fine for you. Guest guest
Katy, I would also like to get tested but do not have the money. So I may have to try avoiding wheat and see how I feel. Thank you for the advice on the flour alternatives, I am so clueless when it comes to cooking. Guest guest
Did you try a Periodontis before you went to a general DDS? Sometimes it can be your diet, or perhaps a gluten intolerance which may cause your gums especially your maxillary gums to have this problem. find yourself a holistic good Periodontis, and perhaps they can do graphing to prevent more holes in your gums. Dory Doggie ________________________________ From: Terry Dailey <terrydailey@...> Sent: Friday, March 20, 2009 7:59:33 AM Subject: Re: [ ] Implants I have been reading allot of post with people having dental problems and was thankful I did not have the same problem, I mean before CML I had very healthy teeth. Well....Now I have something that resembles a whole in one of my upper front teeth, and it is spreading to my other upper front teeth. So despite slacking a bit trying to find a dentist, I know sometime next week I have to have this looked at and see what can be done to fix it. Lucky for me I do not smile much anymore and when I do I do not show my teeth.(Never have for some reason even before this issue.) I was told by my Oncologist that if a dentist or an oral surgeon gives me the runaround because of my CML to give them their office number and they would let the dentist know I am not going to bled out in his chair or whatever they are scared of and it is safe for them to treat me, because my platet levels are fine. He even told me I could get a tattoo..lol. I decided against it since I am now 42, and if I did not get one those years I was singing in rock bands why get one now..rotfl. Besides I still hate needles even though I have had to get used to them..hehe. I do have a question for anyone that might know. I can call Medicare but if someone in the group knows it will save me from waiting on hold. Does Medicare pay anything on dental work? If so do they pay on these implants, or a permanent bridge? If not anyone know the cost of these implants? I know they used to be outragous but I am hoping they have came down in price and if what is causing this to happen cannot be stopped or my front three teeth cannot be saved I can afford them or that bridge thing. I know it sounds vain, but I have always had great strong teeth until the last few months. I just am having a hard time right now with facing possibly having to get dentures at 42. I mean I have stopped dating, but still care about my appearance. I rarely leave my house now until this is fixed even though you cannot see it unless I show it to someone. I admit I have been hiding my head in the sand hoping the problem would be fixed by brushing more and using anti-septic mouthwash more than after I brush my teeth, but saddly the hole is growing and now the stuff is spreading to my other upper front teeth. The strange thing is it does not hurt and trust me if you saw it you would wonder why I am not in severe pain. Saddly I am thinking I will have to get lucky to find a dentist that will take a down payment and let me finance the rest. The one thing I have managed to still keep is my decent credit rating...lol. Guest guest
Dear Sue, Sorry about your friend and even yourself getting all bloodied up for a tooth cleaning. You said you were a fraidy cat when it came to dentists. I have gotten over some of my fear, but they no longer have arms on their chairs, I pulled them all off. LOL. Do keep us up to date about your friend, Anne and tell her we are crossing our fingers for her that it all turns out well, pain free. And who said anything about stamina at 80? It's non-existant and if Bobby says she has any, she is surely lying. LOL If you look on the bottom of the lists with our posts, you will notice a link listed as Marketplace. Out of curiosity, I saw an ad from a young man who said he was from my city. I never heard of him or his family, but he is bragging about how much money he makes. There is also a place to put your comments, but it was stopped because of spam. Ha ha. A jerk getting spammed. That's a good one. Guest guest
What is this Lottie, PICK ON BOBBY DAY??? I can beat you out on the dentist story. I had a dentist that made me a whiskey sour before he gave me the shot of nova caine, and he had a Canadian Club !!! Never felt a thing. But, one day as he was about to pull a tooth I said, " I'd rather have a baby than have a tooth pulled! "  and he replied, " Make up your mind so i know how to adjust the chair!
