Guest guest
I found this information today, which is a warning about taking Plavix with Prilosec or Nexium, because you could be at increased risk of death or another heart attack. I was never given that warning, and I was on both, so I am passing this on to you if you are at risk by taking both of these drugs together. It bears further investigation. http://tinyurl.com/bgpl4l Blessings, Lottie
Guest guest
Hi Jen, I have atrial fibrillation since June 2003 and CML since August 2004. I take Gleevec since June 2005. For the heart, I take Monocor, Coumadin and Rythmol. Six month ago, my heart starts to have palpitations daily. I took one anti-depression once and the heart return normal. Strange ? So the cardiologist said to me to wait to have an ablation. I am PCRU. Are you PCRU? Regards, Gilles > > I hope everyone is happy and healthy this holiday season. > > I had my appointment with my oncologist last month. All is well with the CML. My bloodwork was actually the best it had been in over a year. > While I was there we discussed me having a cardiac ablation done for my WPW. I was dx 20 years ago with it. It has caused me some issues in the past. Not very often. And now with the CML, I have heart palpitations daily. > I met with Dr. Knight at Northwestern yesterday. He is a specialist in heart rhythm problems. I am scheduled to have the cardiac ablation done on Dec 29th. It is an out-patient procedure with a recovery time of one week. The only concern that I have is that they use radiation to " kill " the extra electrial pathway in my heart. Has anyone else had this done or something similar after your dx with CML? I have Dr. Knight checking with my oncologist to verify that it is safe for me. Just wondering what everyone's thoughts are. > > Jen >
