I know what you are talking about some of the dr's are smartasses I have had my

share of that type That is the tyoe Dr's i have been assigned to every 6 mths I

get a new one. Persoanlly I find it terrifying because they know everything...

My oncologist is also a professor at the Indiana University School of Medicine. 

For the past two years he has asked me to attend one of his classes and talk

about my trip with CML.  I just got home from this year's visit.

It's kinda fun and kinda terrifying at the same time.  All of the members of the

class are second year med students and all have undergraduate degrees.  Some of

them are, quite frankly, smart asses.  I'm glad it's over.

Hi Bob,

Just wondering about your phrase " dog and pony show " I have spent almost 27

years in the Navy and to me that is a very distinct military term. So just

wondering if you ever served in the military?

Hi Dave,

Never really in the military. I was in the Army Reserves during the late 60's

and early 70's. I faithfully guarded South Bend, Indiana, and will have you

know it was never invaded during my tenure. I probably picked the term up

there.
