Guest guest
Hi, My name is and I am the mother to 3 beautiful little girls. My youngest turned 2 in Sept. and has been having fevers every month since October 07. It seemed to be like it would be every 3 weeks from the end of one to the beginning of the next. The Fevers are Very high (104+) and no one has been able to give me ANY reason why. She has has had strep test, blood work done, and urine test. All have come back normal... the Dr. told me that she appears to be a healthy, normal child, except for the high fevers. The Doctors have NEVER mentioned , I started researching and think this is what she has. Just a side note...She also has Waardenberg's Syndrome (WS). Which is a genetic mutation, that is dominate thing in my husbands family. It has certain facial features (wide set eyes, uni-brow, bright blue or different colored eyes) Its a distinctive look. It can also cause hearing loss. (she was born mostly deaf in on ear) I also found it on the internet, and told my Doctor about it and got a diagnosis from there. Turns out it goes back over 6 generations in my husbands family and no one even knew about it. Recently she all so developed " fused labia's " which is just like what it sounds like. Again... no one knows why! GRRRRR! So my question is... How do you go about getting a diagnosis for this? I have been charting her fevers for the last 2 months. I plan on bringing in all of my charting when she gets her next one. June 30.. or July 1st. How long does this last? Can she out grow it at a young age or is this something we will be dealing with for years to come. (frankly I'm so tired of her being sick and the doctors never being of any help.. I could just scream)Could the fevers have anything to do with her other issues? Ok... well thank you so much! It is comforting to know that other people are dealing with this too!
