Guest guest
I am hoping that my daughter has out grown it, she has been fever free since August! Her Doctor, Dr. Feeder (CT) told us many children outgrow it after having it for five years, she started when she was an infant and turned six in August. We used the pred. and it was a Godsend for our family, my daughter would get fever induced seizures, now that is scary!!! The pred. did bring the eposides closer together for a few months, but then they started to spread out again, just like the Dr said they would, you just need to get over the hump. I never worried about the pred., its such a small dose for a short time, I know people with other illness who are on triple the dose daily. My opinion is that it's gotten a bad rap and been associated with the misuse of other steroids. We did not opt for the T & A because once we finally got a diagonsis she seemed to be cycling out of it! I do get concern about it returning later in her life. She did seem to have a mild case, no mouth sores or joint pain. Here's to hope and fever free days!!! We did get our trip to Disney this Fall, pred. packed, and had a fever free blast!
