I am a mother of a five year old boy who has been getting a fever every four

weeks or so since July. Usually, he has sore throat, headache, and swollen

glands (stiff neck), so we've had numerous strep tests, which have all been

negative. He's been tested for meningitis, mono, etc., but so far, everything

has been negative. When he got sick last month, our regular doctor sent us to a

children's hospital a couple of hours away. They did a CAT scan of his head and

neck, chest x-ray, blood work, strep test, and everything came back looking

pretty normal. His bloodwork showed only some minor inflammation. The doctors

there recommended that we have further evaluation in their rheumatology

department. We have an appointment there in a couple of weeks. Last night, I

was searching for some answers on the internet, and I came across the

description of , which sounded the most like what we've been dealing with

than anything else I've explored. I am interested in reading about other

people's experiences with this syndrome. Is there a specific test that can be

done for diagnosis, or is it a process of elimination?
