vertical striations

Woa I have noticed them also ,and was gonna ask onc June 12 about it.My jurney

is 3 and 1/2

My finger nails have these vertical striations. At some point, someplace, I read

that this is a common symptom of leukemia.

Hair -- !@#$%^ & !!

First, it was coming out in gobs, which made me a little nervous but since I had

enough on my head for five people it seemed imperceptible to others. After that

first year or so on Gleevec, but has grown back in spades and has changed into a

frizz mop. It used to be wavy, but is now wildly kinky, and thicker than ever. I

look in the mirror and think, " Hmm ... who IS that? "

      Question:

Have you as long term glivec users had the side effect of either hair loss, no

growth of hair, thinning of hair ?

Alternately as long term glivec users and blood levels improved and going

towards PCR or your PCR is undetected (MMR) etc have you the experience that

your hair

Having more hair cuts (hair is growing quicker)?

Hair on Face -

This is an experience that the gals all seemed to have.

Down hair on side of face (near cheeks)

Is this is glivec reaction / menopause reaction / both ?

Hair on arms, feet,fingers, chest

Growth of hair on the above.

One experience of a fellow was that where he had hair he no longer did and where

he did not have hair he now does. Go figure.

A suggestion was that

Perhaps it is because people are going paler in colour and

they now can sight more hair

Plus finger nails are growing quicker and thicker
