- we do use pred. We started it a year ago - and it brought the

fevers back very quickly - but at that time his fevers were lasting

upwards to 10 days and it was nightmarish for him - so I thought that

it would be better then nothing . . . I generally always take him to

the doctor when an episode hits (we really should have our own parking

place now) because part of me is holding out hopes that it's something

else (strep etc). So this last time I waited till the doctor assured me

that he thought it was to give the pred - and it took him 105.2

fever away instantly pretty much ... it's so nice. But the symptoms

remain . . . oh well.

We are on Singulair right now - he's been on that for a year and I

think that it has made a big difference as well . . . but who knows for

sure?
