Cyndi, how often do you take the Librax? Is it daily? I have IBS too, I

have Bentyl and it helps some, but I dont take it every day, I only take it

after the cramping has started to help relax the spasms. I started keeping

a journal and realized that my IBS episodes conincide with my hormones,

basically I have it just before and during my period and again around

ovulation, and again about 7 days past ovuation when the estrogen jumps up

again.

What type of testing did they do for you? My doc wanted me to do a test,

but when I realized I had to drink all that stuff and do enemas, I said no

way.. She said well we need to rule out cancer, I said Ive had this for 10

years if it's cancer I should be dead!! I would rather have another hip

replacement than do that test. But I know that I really need to do it to

rule out IBD.

***I take 3-6 pills a day, depending on symptoms. Hormones definitely

worsen things for me, too. Acidophilus, FOS, and digestive enzymes help

too.

***The yucky kind! The only bad part is drinking the stuff, and they

have flavored ones now that really aren't too bad. For the scope, they

have you on some wonderful drug that keeps you so " out of it " , you

probably won't even remember the test.

***Your doc is right. The last thing we Still's patients need are more

health problems than we already have!!! I'll take drinking " the stuff "

over chemotherapy any day!! Trust me, the idea of the test is much worse

than the test. It's unpleasant, but not horrible at all.
