However, Rx is the abbreviation for the Latin word meaning " recipe. " The abbreviations used in prescriptions are derived from Latin terms. Listed below are many commonly used today. What we see on our prescription is often " Greek " to us, so wonder no longer. Don't forget to go the the website and read the entire article and check out your " recipes " .
