Hello,

Here's my intro:

My name is and I'm a mother of a beautiful 22 month old son (Conor) who may

possibly have .  My husband and I are just learning about this condition

and beginning the long process of blood tests and differential diagnosis testing

protocols.

My son has been experiencing cyclical fevers since April '08.  Usually 3-4 weeks

apart, except for one period of time he was afebrile for 2.5 months.  He just

got over his last fever of 4 days 2.5 wks ago and is on his 5th day of another

fever.

Except for occasional signs of a red throat and red patches on his cheeks he is

without other symptoms and Motrin seems to do a good job most of the time to

control how high his fever goes.  His fevers resolve on their own and he usually

eats and drinks very well.

I'm a physical therapist and fitness professional and my husband is an medical

attorney, so we are both very familiar with the medical world, but we really

wish we didn't have to be 'so' familiar with these new conditions and diseases

we're learning about that my son may have.

But, we want to educate ourselves as much as we can as we try to find out what's

wrong with his health.  Of course, we keep being told that it's just a virus

each time.  We are not settling for that anymore.  I've been making some calls

to Dr.'s and I found this group. I am looking forward to getting to know you.
