Guest guest
I can't remember who asked this question but I have an example of giving prednisone late in an episode. Emma started her fever on Monday (low temp all day and peak in the evening) and we gave prednisone then. she slept all night with no fever and woke up feeling fine. Fever started again late that afternoon. We then has her checked out and the doctor couldn't find anything wrong with her except swollen glands and white spots on her tonsils, but not strep throat. The temperatures became almost impossible to control so we ended up giving another dose of prednisone at 11pm on Wednesday evening. This was the first time we ever neede a 2nd dose. She slept all night and has been fine ever since!
