programs, but I'll do that as they come up. Windows 2000 has a lock

feature....if you're working on something and need to leave for a bit, you

can lock your desktop.....I'll have to explore that one. But, I do have the

Edmark Kiddesk Internet Safe, if I don't like Windows 2000.

It seems all the file names were left, they were just left empty. So it's

just replacing all the data, may not take as long.....

Yea, I had the kak.worm. I manually got rid of it, but I must have had it a

while, it had spread to a lot of files.

Hi,

My wife is a member of . This morning when I was

checking our e-mail I received the following message, " Re:

( ) pr... WORM_BADTRANS.B Handle... Real Time

Mail S... " The message was a worm virus which come through e-mail (esp.

outlook express) and over a period of time and a number of steps can do

serious damage to your computer's hard drive. The virus deletes numerous

files from your hard drive etc. I hope the antivirus program we have caught

and deleted the virus before it could cause damage. Please make sure you

have up to date antivirus programs running when using your computer. If you

don't viruses like the above mention can quickly spread from computer to

computer via e-mail and the net. If anyone else received the virus we did,

I would be interested to know. Thanks for your time and have a good

evening.
