Dear ,

That is really great news, including the weight loss, most people complain

about gaining weight. I did. When I was taken off Gleevec, I lost 40# in just

a few weeks as the fluid came off my hips, thighs and buttocks.

The other thing I wanted to mention was today I received an invitation to attend

's baby shower and I couldn't think of any other but you. LOL I

looked in the phone book for someone with that address and called the woman

tonight and told her I couldn't place her, and couldn't find a connection. She

told me it was my former neighbor's son whose wife was having a baby. I know he

is thrilled because he is 44, the same age as my son.

I hope people remember to write the full name of the person on their invitations

and announcements. I have gotten graduation announcements and had no clue who

they were. Anyway, if and when you decide to have another baby, I hope you will

send us an invitation. LOL

Blessings,

Lottie

LOL Lottie, you are so funny! Oh my goodness, I can't even imagine having

another baby at my age. I will 49 on the 27th and I have 6 grandkids and another

one on the way. They keep me hopping when I feel up to it and 2 of them live

with us. BUT, if I ever have another one, I will be sure to send you an

invitation to the shower and to the celebration cause we will all be rich since

I have no incubator to make a baby in, lol. Just make sure you like mental wards

becauseĀ I can assure you, that is where I will be if I ever get pregnant

again, lol. Take care and keep us smiling...

invitation to the mental ward cause that is where I would be!!!...Keep us

Hi all,

I hope everybody is doing as good as possible. I just received the

test report from Stanford, and it is negative. It is the first time

with the Stanford lab. I have been positive but too low to quantify

for about year with Stanford and negative with the Kaiser test. We

switched back to Stanford because the kaiser test didn't work last

time. So now I can say I am truly PCRU. I got stuck for about 2 years

at 2 log reduction, then about 1 year and a half ago it started down

again, although I stayed on 400mg of gleevec. For those new to the

list I was dxed in march 2005 at age 38 with ~250k wbc, huge spleen

and a high risk sokal score and put on gleevec 400mg. The rate of

remission had some plateaus and bumps but it eventually went down to

0. I resumed a complete normal life, all the sports I used to

practice. I am generally feeling pretty well with very moderate side

effects once in a while.

Marcos.

Marcos,

I am a Kaiser member. I was wondering what you meant by " the Kaiser test did

not work last time " ?
