Looks Like Singulair Has Failed!

Hello!

I haven't posted in awhile because had been doing fairly

better since on Singulair. He has been on it for 14 months. At

first it seemed it was a " cure-all " . Then slowly each month one or

more symptoms would come out like mouth sores or a headache,

sometimes a low grade temp, nothing major. He went from being a

very sick little boy to almost " normal " . Unfortunately, once last

month and twice this month, he has had full episodes. The only

difference is that his temp doesn't stay high, one hour its normal

and the next it will be 103 and this goes on for about 5 days. We

just came back from the doctors and he said it looks like singulair

isn't helping like it did and thinks sooner or later it will totaly

stop helping. We decided to try colchocine again, but with

singulair. Colchocine seemed to help before, but he couldn't

tolerate it. We are going to try it at a low dose and work up the

dosage. The next step is to remove his tonsils, but he isn't

classic , so we are doubtful. The doctor mentioned an

injection everyday, I can't remember the name, but has anyone tried

anything like that? We can't bare to see him this sick again and he

used to tolerate being sick, but now it really bothers him because

he had been well for so long. He even cried when he realized it was

back. For all that is on singulair I hope this doesn't happen to

you. It is very discouraging!

Thank You

Dena
