Guest guest
do i qualify into this blue book? I was diagonised with 2004. have been on gleevec since december of 2004 but unfortunately i don't know my current prognosis since i don't have an oncologist. i feel great though and feel very healthy. my 31 birthday was this month. the reason i wonder if i qualify on the blue book is because am 100% sure i had lived with cml for over 10 years without any treatment until i was diagonised in 2004 and put on gleevec. so as of today i can say it's over 14 years. in 1993, i fell sick with malaria(am from africa-kenya), i went for like 4 days without eating and with constant nausea and vomiting. that's the first time i felt a lamp on my left abdomen. it kept growing since then, i had all the cml symptoms until it 2004 when it was confirmed when i came to the US. the lamp in my abdomen was my enlarged spleen and it's now gone. my story is complicated but i just wanted to share something with everybody in this group. since i have no oncologist, this is my number one place for information and i read every post and hope tomorrow will be better. how i lived with cml for over 10 years without treatment though remains a mystery to me. You are now officially registered in our Blue Book of Survivors. Hopefully you will share with us how you are presently doing. I am hoping that others who have not posted in a while will see our Blue Book and how it is growing will also respond and add their names. Maybe we should call it the " Hall of CML Famers " . LOL. Best of luck to all of our list subscribers, Lottie
Guest guest
Hi , Have you ever had a BMB, FISH or PCR test? If you are on Gleevec, who prescribes it and who pays for it, and who follows your progress? Also, where are you living right now? I ask all these questions because I am always looking for new Zero Club members. To get a number, you need to have one of the tests confirm that you are at CCR.
