Guest guest
I can't comment on the predisone, as we never tried it, but I can say that when we traveled overseas, in 3 weeks, had 3 VERY agressive episodes that were hard to control (1 episode on EACH 16 hr flight-NIGHTMARE HELL). I think any amount of stress or excitement can send these kids into a tailspin. You might just be having a stress induced episode that is coming with a vengance. I'm suprised your ENT is not making you priority. The made priority, as this kids really suffer on a chronic basis. Very odd to me. mom2 Born 5/11/06 T & A May 2008 Fever Free ever since! Guest guest
Hi Amy We also had pred not working a couple of times. Once Emma needed a second dose 48 hours after the first dose as the fever was just uncontrollable and very -like. It was after our son was born and Emma was cycling every 10-14 days. The other occasions where pred didn't work ended up being other infections - once strep and once an ear infection, both were treated successfully with antibiotics. Are you sure it's not something else? If you are then maybe try a second dose, even a small one. Once you have the surgery hopefully that will sort it out once and for all! We haven't used a thermometer on Emma since the T & A in March. Hope this helps Regards Inga
