Guest guest
Hi Everyone, I wanted to wish everyone a safe holiday and pray that all can remain fever free. I haven't posted in a while but i wanted to keep everyone posted on how well Alyssa is doing. We opted for a T & A last August after 2 yrs of fevers. She started around 6 mths and they came consistently every month. But I am soooooo happy to report that she has been completely Pfapa (or whatever the hell this thing is) for 16 months. I had many doubts about the surgery especially because of her age, she was only 2 yrs 6 mths, at the time. But she had the worst fevers. They were spiking at 105 & 106 every 28-32days, for a straight year some months it even went as high as 107 and even the docs didn't believe me at first until they saw it for themselves. They knew she had or something and that her symptoms were real but they thought I was exagerating how high her temps would get. Anyway, she is doing great. But my heart goes out to all of you that still struggle with this. I can't even imagine what I would be like if it had not worked and she was still suffering every month. Take care, Tammielee ( mom to Alyssa 3 yrs 9 mths Pfapa, and 5 yrs 9 mths)
