Guest guest
Pam, I may be brain dead again thanks to Lyme, but what is a FWIW and how do you know what foods Lyme germs like and what they do not? Guest guest
FWIW, is " for what it's worth. " I DON " T know what foods Lyme likes or does not like but my LLMD told me to drop the Flaxseed since Lyme uses it for its own purposes (ergo Lyme likes it). Guest guest
Thanks for the info Pam. I have been eating a lot of flax seed this week as well as turmeric in my homemade whole wheat spiced bread concoction. Of course I am hitting an all time low. I had most horrific seizure like spasms, like extreme tremors again this pm, like a bad seizure but you are awake and scared out of your mind. So if I am feeding the remaining Lyme critters, no wonder I am not getting better fast enough. Yuck. For the rest of the group, does anyone else have really bad relapses, especially neurological problems. I just often feel like my brain short circuits, I cannot talk right, start shaking with muscles cramping up in weird positions. It also feels like your autonomic nervous system does not work right, breathing becomes a challenge and your heart beats irregular. Some of the symptoms you could write of as panic attacks, but there is too much other neurological weirdness going on to have me convinced. Just wondering if anyone else still get relapses when they should be improving. Guest guest
I get some relapses, but usually mild. I am on herbs only though, and only on Buhner's. One thing I have been having is some pain in both temples, also a little headachy all over my head at times. This is something new to me. Still get a little brain fog from time to time and also some vision problems at times. NONE of these are anywhere near as bad as two years ago though. Guest guest
Thanks Sue. From this weblink I found this on Omega 3's: http://www.umm.edu/altmed/articles/omega-3-000316.htm ...and on Omega 6's: http://www.umm.edu/altmed/articles/omega-6-000317.htm The trick seems to be in balancing them. In Inflamation Nation they say that the diet is rich in Omega 6 or more rich and so Omega 3's are more important to supplement and recommend Borage Oil as a rich source of Omega 3, but each reference is long and I have not read the entire article at the links and have only read excerpts from Inflamation Nation. I haven't finished looking into this topic but right now am taking borage oil myself. There is soooo much information to research. > > _http://www.umm.edu/altmed/articles/flaxseed-oil-000304.htm_ > (http://www.umm.edu/altmed/articles/flaxseed-oil-000304.htm) > From the Univ. of land Health Center > > Now I'm confused as to which one or combination to take! >
Guest guest
>> Flax oil should only be used to mix with oil paints. Lol... >>The form of omega-3 it contains has to be converted by the body to a useable form, so anyone who is sick or has candida should never consume it in any form. Omega 3 in cod liver oil or fish oil is the form the body needs, which doesn't require conversion. thank you for explaining this, if I understand *why* I'm doing or leaving things, I can stay with the diet more easily. 6 months now... only 40 to go, LOL. Finally having a very regular period (every 26 days), it was always very unpredictable. But the three to four days before my period are extremely tough with all my die-off and hormonal imbalances going through the roof. I guess my hormonal system is busy recovering. thank you for your patience, hugs

That's why I emphasize " not to " do any other treatments, nor to take any foods other than those listed, and to take " all " of the supplements and no others. This program works if it is followed as written. You can also assume that I'm very familiar with most things advertised as healthy out there and this program works as it is, without any changes, additions, deletions or alterations. Due to many consultations I've had, I find most people are pushing their bodies too hard, and taking things not on the program, which just interferes with the natural healing processes of the body. More is not better! Consistency in consuming " proper nutrients " IS. Remember that marketing claims are to sell products, and not necessarily are they good for you, nor are all of the claims true. The best, Bee

Still kicking, still able to take on any MD that gives you any guff....still being a great mom and grandmom. I am sure that the supplements that you take are doing something for you, if not what you expected or wanted. You don't want to get into megadoses....but our soils are depleted, they don't have enough trace minerals and lots of other healthy stuff in them. Healthy fats are really important in the diet...like olive oil, flax and fish oils, etc. Walking around at 81 with 14 years of cml under your belt (hope those numbers are correct)......you are a miracle! Guest guest
Every morning for breakfast I have a smoothie made up of non-fat yogurt, berries of various sorts, a half a banana and flax seed oil. The miracle is that I'm not dead yet and undoubtedly feel peppier and look better than I would sans flax seed oil -- or so I assume, lol. From: ncogan@... Guest guest
Hello, I enjoy the flaxseed and ground flax seed meal often. I was told the whole seed or ground offered even more benefits than the capsuls. Here is a recipe that I use. Muffin in a minute 1/4c ground flax meal 1 egg 1/2 teaspoon baking powder 1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 packets Splenda mix all ingredients together in a coffee mug, microwave for 1 minute Enjoy This is the basic recipe.I also add other things like 2 tablespoons Cocoa powder,nuts,raisins,banana,1/4c of any flavor sugar free Davinci or Torani syrup, choco chips,Peanut butter or toffee.I sometimes omit the splenda, cinnamon, vanilla and add a teaspoon olive oil, italian spices or parmasean cheese and make it more savory than sweet. It is very versital and delicous...
