Guest guest Posted January 31, 2008 Report Share Posted January 31, 2008 Our surgery nurse told us that 80% of tonsillectomy patients run a fever after surgery. Actually, I think that may have been 80% of surgery patients, not just tonsillectomy. It is a common reaction to general anesthesia. Strangely enough, seems to be one of the 20% who doesn't get a fever in this circumstance.
