Guest guest
Dear Sue, I will be patiently waiting for the next 8 years, so you can be entered into our Survivor's Blue Book. LOL I am tossing back the accolate to you, because you have been a fervent reader and writer with your letters and references and very good ones at that. Your bulletins and newsletters from AU serve us well, too, and we would not ordinarily be cognizant of them were it not for your reminders. I bow to you for your service. LOL You wanted to know if we had side effects of hair loss. I had a full head of healthy hair, as did my parents and siblings. My brothers in their 80s did not even have a receding hair line. My grandfather died at 92 and still had some hair. LOL. When I started Inteferon, I noticed thinning hair, it got thicker on Gleevec and then started to again have hair loss. It continues to fall and now (2 trials later) my hair is so thin, I can see my scalp. I know it is associated with the cancer meds, because it is not a family trait. Because I was blonde, the hair on my arms and legs were white and now there are none. LOL I do find it strange that my torso and legs are still very white, but my face has turned a bronze color. Should someone ask would kind of make up I use, what should I say? LOL Best wishes to you always, Lottie
