Guest guest
Dear Eva, We are all waiting with baited breath to find out what will happen next with your appointment with Dr. Lipton. I don't live in Canada, but I have certainly heard he is one of the best. It is evident that not all doctors follow the same protocol and if it's possible, try to keep Dr. Lipton, I hope you can do that. I know it must be very frustrating for you to know something is wrong and the doctor is not listening to you. I went through a similiar situation with my lung a few years ago. I had to pound on the desk and demand tests for every known bacteria, virus, etc. They were shocked when the results came in and didn't know what to do. I had to find another doctor who specialiazed in infectious diseases on my own, they were no help at all. I've said this so many times, you are your own best advocate. I have lost nearly 50# and the oncologist only noticed it today when I saw him in the waiting room. Funny he should ask. LOL. I would call Dr. Druker's nurse, Carolyn Blasdel. You can reach her at: blasdelc@.... Do it for yourself, your family and all of us. We care. Blessings xoxo, Lottie
Guest guest
I have my liver checked also I think it is the ALT? I did develop Gleevec induce hepatitis and had to be switched to Sprycel. That was two years ago and the onocologist still check liver function everytime I have blood work. The liver is an amazing organ in that it can recover completely.
