Guest guest
Thank you my friends, but there will be no surgery today. I am spitting nails because of plain stupidity. I have been working all week to coordinate this surgery, get my transfusions, have all the tests requested, and the cardiologist and oncologist were sitting on my CBC, neither one calling each other to confer and neither willing to call me or the hospital. When I called the cardiologist, they referred me to the oncologist who said he could not give me a clearance because he didn't want to be responsible for my death, because my platelets are too low. I think someone should have called me as soon as the red flag went up, but it's not going to happen tomorrow, for sure. I will have to confer with MDACC to see if I have to stop taking SKI 606. Meanwhile, keep the prayers and good wishes just a little longer, hopefully they will be put to good use soon. Just defer them for a short while. LOL. Something kept nagging at me - my intuition, I suppose. The hospital called to tell me what time to show up and 5 minutes later, the lab wanted me in to be tested for platelets and another 5 minutes, the baloon burst. Everything came to a screeching halt, all to my dismay. It will be time consuming to be put through that treadmill again. Hope everyone enjoyed their respective holidays and that we all live to enjoy more, Lottie
Guest guest
Oh Lottie how completely exasperating. !@#$% & ! I hope you gave them all what for. WHY don't these people speak to one another -- and WHY don't they ever consider what it is like to be on the receiving end! From: lotajam@... Guest guest
Amazing Lottie How do hospitals get their management so wrong - all they have to do is pick up the phone went to have his hernia operation Had to be at the hospital at 6.00am - that means I had to be up at 4.00am to drive him to the City and hospital We get there - the surgeon wanted all his patients there at the same time - had to wait until 4.00pm in the afternoon - at least they got him breakfast - What a wait. They could of rang and I could have made him breakfast and lunch Well hopefully your platelets will rise again and a successful operation and hospital stay Sue (Aussie) > > Thank you my friends, but there will be no surgery today.
