Guest guest
Here it is, Obama's health care plan. Maybe you will want to read it before you get stuck for it. Subject: Obamacare...bend over.. here it comes! This 'health care' bill is not numbered and according to Fox News they really don't us to see it, yet. Obama's plan is to complete national promotional tour, started yesterday, and knowing that he has a super majority in both chambers and not wanting to make the mistakes of HillaryCare they had NO intentions of releasing the details until July...just days before the vote!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Obama didn't want to give those who oppose the plan time to launch a comprehensive and coordinated counter proposal. Here is the complete 600+ pages...bend over. http://help.senate.gov/BAI09A84_xml.pdf

Guest guest
Lottie, did you really read all that? I got to the first page and quit. I hope someone breaks it down., I would like to know what is so bad about it. But for myself, I feel that no one was happy with what we have, and a lot of people seem to be prepared to not be happy with what's in the future for health care. So do we give it a chance, and have it fail so we can say, HA, I TOLD YOU SO, or do we give it a chance and say, WELL IT'S BETTER THAN WHAT WE HAD. Or how about, well, it isn't perfect, but given some time maybe we can make it as close to perfect as possible. ( by the time it gets perfect Lottie we may both be pushing up Daisies) It's taken a long time to get in this shape, it certainly is not going to get fixed over night. I for one would love to hear from our friends living in countries where they have socialized medicine, I have heard pros and cons, but that's only natural, what in the world would please 100% of us? Personally, I think the solution to our problems would have been to give each of the 300 million voters in this country, one million dollars. then we could pay our mortgages, our cars, our health plans, and keep the money circulating, then we would all be happy and Uncle Sam would not have had to come up with $749,700,000.00 to bail out people who did not deserve it to begin with!! Guest guest
Lottie, I'm not sure that it is all that bad, From what I read, an insurance cannot deny anyone with a pre existing condition, not charge an exorbitant fee if they do have a health problem. I did not read the entire 600 pages, only the first few (once you got past the table of contents). Please let me know either privately or through the board, whaqt yo0u objections are. Maybe I just don;t understand. I know that my husband has to continue to work so that I may receive health benifits as I have not been able to find full time work with benifits for the past 2 years. Guest guest
Hi, I just got the invoice from medicare for the two units of blood I had a few weeks ago, It cost $3,600.00.I was in the hospital for 8 hours. I also received the invoice for the first BMA/BMB, it was $4,700.00, and I have been getting one a month, three so far for this trial. Fortunately, I have Medicare and AARP and pay nothing for these charges. I pay over $300/month for this privilege, which is peanuts next to having to pay it all if I didnt have it. But, if I wasn't covered, I think I would rather know I could go to a hospital if I had to, and receive care, rather than be turned away because I didn't have it. It is nice to be able to choose your doctor, but if you really are in pain and need a doctor, isn't it better to know you can go to one, rather than know that you can't? sounds pretty happy with the way they do things down under, how about some of you others on socialized medicine giving us your opinion on it??? What do you like about it and what do you dislike about it. Now I'm going to try and wade through that Obama " stuff " Lottie sent us, most likely I won't understand a word of it. Guest guest
Hi Bobby: I think so many of us are confused. Lottie is always on top of every situation. She amazes me, and she probably understands all 600 pages. You had a good idea with regard to letting people who have been involved in government run healthcare systems to share their experiences. I sure would like to know what is good and what is bad also. I also read 's response. I myself am insured under my husbands insurance, and we are doing okay. Its when all the co-pays hit us for office visits and prescriptions when it all comes at once. I do know that we would have to go right into another insurance if he lost this one due to fact of pre-existing conditions are not covered if there is a lapse in insurance. When my husband was out of work for 9 months, he lost his insurance. What we did is cash in our retirement money before the last day of coverage ran out,and we got Cobra at $892.00 a month. We put the money in the savings account, and just gave it out monthly to Cobra for our coverage until he got another job. I am the one who always works out the finances, and I planned for 1 year of coverage in the event that he could not get work immediately. We lived on his unemployment until we got back on our feet, plus I had my disability check. This whole thing really scares a lot of people, and you just have to figure out things the best you can in advance and use any resources you have. We were very blessed in a lot of ways with things that have gone crazy in our life, even before I got CML. We just live very simply to make ends meet, and my heart goes out to anyone who has no resources and are hitting bottom already. Something has to give real soon in this country. > > > Here it is, Obama's health care plan. Guest guest
Crikey Bobby - that is crazy! I can remember where Lottie said she had to get " credits " so that she could have a blood transfusion. We never get invoiced so wouldn't have a clue how much a BMB for example costs. I know a PCR costs $200 if I couldn't claim for it. Regards, From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of ROBERTA DOYLE Sent: Tuesday, 16 June 2009 12:03 PM Subject: Re: [ ] Fw: Obamacare...bend over!
