Guest guest
I agree - I think I will after breakfast. I didn't take it last night. I actually took a percocet to help me sleep because I was starting to have my endometriosis cramps and typically they keep me up all night!! I have Vicodin for that time of the month but I figured I would just use the left over percocet from my sugery. Worked like I charm. Slept really good. Have a wonderful day! I am getting ready for work. Lynn > > > > > > Lynn ~ > > > Fries, so funny how they are so.........very good ! Guest guest
Good morning Joni, That sounds like a good plan. Perhaps Lynda & I could meet you half way in maybe Longmont for something healthy at Starbucks - ha? Or at least just meet. I would love to meet Lydna as well. How long have you lived in Colorado? Guest guest
Joni, I ran 8 local support groups in the entire area in the 90's but the attendance dwindled so much when information became more readily available, that they just were not practical anymore. We had groups in Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Ft. , Boulder, and in Littleton, the N. area, Lakewood, and Denver central. I doubt if it is practical anymore as so much info. is on the net. I am so glad the web has made so much available for women to research and communicate. Some women in local areas do get together at times, still. Guest guest
Maybe we could meet in Boulder and have lunch at Turley's. They are a great place to have a healthy meal. Guest guest
Lynn, Thanks for sharing your dream! They are just so strange sometimes, but I think it is reflective of you adjusting to your new body. I often have implant related dreams these days...Like I'm getting them out or the Dr. can't get them out or one breaks and rapidly deflates at a really inappropriate time! Glad you have been bouncing back so well:) So nice to hear!!! Katy:)spinkscl <spinkscl@...> wrote: Dede,Drank a whole glass of water like you all suggested with the fungal defense and slept great!! Guess I had some wild dreams. My husband said I was yelling at him telling him to stop throwing something at my face??? All I remember is dreaming that we were having this hard rock concert in this little town I live in in Colorado (must have been a dream) and in one room it was AC/DC, the other Van Halen and for some reason Alan and his wife needed to sleep at my house. Next thing I remember I was at the concert without my shirt on holding my hands over my small little tiny taped boobs!! Crazy, maybe that fungal defense isn't a drug to take at night :)Hope you had a good day!! Mine was super! Two days at work full-time and going strong (knock on wood). Guest guest
Oh, that would be nice. I have only been to Boulder one time. It would be nice ot go back and nice to actually meet you in person Lynda (and Joni). Lynn > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Lynn ~ > > > > > > > Fries, so funny how they are so.........very good ! Guest guest
Only in Boulder once, that is so hard to fathom. I go there every chance I get. Turley's is actually easy to find. We will have to check with Joni. You and I could actually meet at Hwy 34 and ride together. Lynda At 08:30 PM 4/25/2007, you wrote: >Oh, that would be nice. I have only been to Boulder one time. Guest guest
I am so sorry you are feeling challenged Dede!! It is like a rollercoster ride, I swear it is! Today wasn't as fantastic as yesterday, felt really crappy when I got home from work. Really worn out but I had a very stressful day. I need to learn to manage my stress better! I think I may have found a culprit to my demise - stress! I pray you have a better day tomorrow. Take care D! Guest guest
My son started his band at 6.5 months old and he went from 12.2 mm down to 7 mm in the first five weeks in his band. Molly California Nicolas, 2, tort & plagio, STARband 4/24/06-9/12/06, Graduate! , 4.5 , 8 Results What kind of results do you typically see after a month in the starband? My ds will have his first f/u scan next wed after 4 weeks in the band. He started w/ 10mm of asymmetry. Just curious if anyone recalls what they saw after only 4 weeks?? He started when he was just about 4 months-he will be 5 months on Thanksgiving! Thanks! Guest guest
Lee-Ann, started his STARband at 5 months and the first month we didn't see a lot of results. But hit a growth spurt during the second month and the results have been amazing. He has gone from 8.6mm of asymmetry to 5mm, and his cephalic index has gone from 96% down to 91%. Guest guest
If you have a good ortho (the key!) then I would think you probably should see quite a bit of change. Our son went from 8mm to 3mm and he started at 7.5 mos. and ended at 9.5 (very fast considering his age). SO with that said, it also depends on growth spurts. > > What kind of results do you typically see after a month in the > starband? Guest guest
Dear Tracey, I was joking about going to Canada for faster results and I know they are scared to death that I might follow through (Canada). LOL I know our health care systems need a lot of upgrading and leave a lot to be desired, but then I always bitch about the length of time getting longer and longer and I have to grovel to get it. When the doctor says to call in 2 weeks, I laugh in his face and say, " You gotta be kidding. " He needs to get with the program. I know we have discussed my " bright side " before and I halfway expected to get something on that order. It goes up and down, up and down, like an elevator. Last time we talked about my " elevator " status, you reminded me that the disease was arrested, which gave me the warm fuzzies. LOL Truthfully, I am at peace with it. When I think of the cohart of patients who have had to have a BMT, or chemo for AML, I believe I am lucky to have the garden variety of CML. Life sucks worse for some people who certainly are not deserving of the curve they were thrown, but they suck it all in and move on. May science soon find a cure for all dread diseases and we can form a social club instead. Blessings everyone and thanks for being here for each other, Lottie
