Guest guest Posted May 8, 2009 Report Share Posted May 8, 2009 Say friends, I have a *really* dumb question. Is there anything wrong with cutting up Gleevec pills to take them in divided doses? My new doctor prescribed 100-mg pills and advised me to take two at night and one in the a.m., but it's been more than two weeks and the prescription STILL has not gone through (he failed to send in a prior authorization, and other forms required by my insurance). So I've just been slicing my 400-mg pills into four equal pieces, and taking two at night and one in the a.m. Does the quality of the drug suffer at all if you do that? Thank you! in S.F.
