Are the NNRTI's less toxic than the NRTI?

How does the Non Nuke factor come into play vs. the Nuke drugs (NRTI)

Are the nukes similar to chemotherapy in their toxicity?

Just the name Nukes sounds scary vs. Non Nukes.

Actually, nukes like Viread, Emtriva, Epivir, and to a lesser extend Ziagen can be less troublesome for some than non-nukes like Viramune, Sustiva, or TMC 125. But we are all different! Non nukes are well known for rashes and CNS problems in some patients. Viread can be troublesome to some people with Kidney dysfunction.

We really are getting to an era that HAART is a lot less toxic than ever and many people will be able to adhere better to long term treatment. Too bad some of us cannot live without these drugs!

I had a nightmare last night in which the world's pharmaceutical companies had been destroyed and most of us starting to get sick again...man...what a horrible thought! Too bad they have become such monsters LOL
