Guest guest
16-17% of crystal meth use was not high enough for me to be convinced. I wonder who has the actual numbers of patients and the statistical significance for every drug use group. I have seen people go downhill fast with meth. Not sure what part of that is poor nutrition and lack of sleep and what part is the actual toxic effects of snorting, smoking or shooting TINA.The disruptions of life-style may be the key factors. Hard to take one's meds on a three day tweak. I know some effects have been shown in in vitro with meth and HIV, but you always wonder how much is going to be clinically significant.JB

Guest guest
also, my own doctor estimates that 80% of the new infections he's seeing in his South Beach office, which has a mostly gay population, is meth-related. Probably not a direct effect of the drug on the virus, but on the user's behavior and risk taking. Doubt this is a news flash to anyone here.
