ann,

You sound exactly how I felt when Sam graduated. I really wanted someone to say that he needed a second band, but no one did. Also, our insurance still has not paid for his first band, and we really couldn't afford to pay for another band at the time. I'm happy to say that things are turning out fine for Sam. He has had continued rounding and I have even been brave enough to buzz his hair a few times this summer. He has the same cowlick issue, but he really does look fine. I have days when I don't think so, but for the most part I'm happy with how he looks. My wish for you is that keeps rounding. Regardless, I'm sure he has come a long way. Now let's see some pictures.

Re: Digest Number 2247

Funny, I haven't been on this board in quite some time and the first post isexactly my issue. is going to be one year old on Sat and has beenin his band a little over 3 months. Charlotte at CT said that this will bethe final 2 weeks. Unfortunately, I'm not jumping for joy because I reallyfeel that his flat area is still too flat. It definitely has come a longway - the bottom of his skull rounding nicely but the right middle, rightbehind his right ear is still flat and bothers me. Charolette does notrecommend another band and feels he has had some nice growth. I'm sure thatis the case but I'm still not thrilled. She said that we can certainly cando another band but she wouldn't recommend it. We see are craniofacialspecialist next week so I'm curious to hear his opinion. I sure hope has some good growth in the next 2 weeks. My other concern is that's cowlick is right on his flat spot and I'm afraid that it will nothide the residual flatness. Also, would ins cover a second band?ann/NJDOC Band 3 months and counting down...

Ann:

No problem - I hope that you can just stick with only

Humira and be benefitted by that - wouldn't just one

med be nice? Sorry the Lyrica did not help you - it

has helped me especially with nerve pain in my legs at

night - but we all respond differently to these meds.

Take care -
