Guest guest
good luck... but i could have died taking that route.. my partner at the time had me bullshitted up about the meds causing AIDS... tried the homeopathic, vitamins, minerals supplement thing, I still got sick and deathly close to loosing, any opportunistic infection could have taken me out. I could have been poster person for stereotypical HIV/AIDS patient of the 80's and early 90's. don't even think of doing this with out getting test and check by a doctor regularly.. ever 6 months minimum.... Guest guest
I went 7 years from positive to going on meds at 349 t-cells. If there were a natural way, we would have found it. Probably Dr Kaiser's K-Pax is as good a supplement as any, but it's always a matter of time unless you have whatever gene the "non-progressers" have

Guest guest
I stayed off meds for more than 10 years, having once or twice weekly acupuncture and taking Chinese herbs. I went to the Immunce Enhancement Project in San Francisco, and several private acupuncturists. I got the best results from an accupuncturist who had just come from China. He knew nothing about HIV, but I really felt good results from his treatments. I also take vitamins and supplements, and have a limited knowledge of herbs I use to treat myself. I only went on meds after years of pressure from doctors, and in the hope that they would help my fatigue. They didn't. I am not sure if the meds did much more than give me a big list of side effects, each of which required more meds. My general feeling of tiredness did not change. Now, eight or nine years later, testosterone injections, wellbutrin, a few supplements, yoga and the gym, together seem to help my energy. My t-cell count has been going up gradually since I stopped work six years ago. I think the lack of stress from work and the time to focus on my health every day are the most helpful. I don't do acupuncture any more now.
