Guest guest
Sharon That is interesting that your specialist thinks you have done so well because you are not taking other medication. Does he mean by other medication being medication that does not interfere with Glivec Or No medication at all. My own experience is my specialist calls me a " clean-skin " because I am on no other medication on a daily management regime. However at times he prescribes different drugs based on side effects at lower doses to support me or that of antibiotics etc. I also have a Menieres condition whereby I previously took Serc each day however since my bloods Hbg have increased to near normal I have had no vertigo or side effects of Menieres. (Winter is a trigger for me for hydrops pressure so that will be a test) I am on a salt skip program (SSP) of eating - www.saltmatters.org (Disclaimer here as the gals will have knowledge - chocolate is my downfall as is cake) so perhaps a part time SSP. This not only supports my Menieres and Vertigo reactions but also supports not having to use diurectics for water retention so hence one less drug with Menieres and one less drug for water retention. I am putting up with issues for Menopause (they are not that bad) to have another less drug to interact with glivec.
