I trust the UK docs a lot since they have said things in the past that US docs would not admit."I think it's a very interesting suggestion. Cardiovascular disease is the biggest killer in the industrialized world, and diabetics are at elevated risk. I believe a few years ago a British health care policy person suggested giving everyone a daily pill of low-dose asprin and lipitor to cut the catastrophic death rate.Lipitor comes off patent very soon..................JB
