Guest guest
I have been on testosterone replacement therapy (Androgel) for several years, and my insurance won't pay for it any more unless I can provide proof that my testosterone is below normal levels without supplementation. I have changed doctors a few times in the past several years, and no one can find the original testosterone level test result in my charts from years back. I have a regularly scheduled doctor's appointment in a few weeks, and am scheduled to do blood work around January 22. I'm sure my doctor will be willing to add a testosterone level to my regulary quaterly blood panel. My question is, how long do I need to stop Androgel before my testosterone will reach below normal levels? How long to reach the nadir? I actually have a couple extra months of Androgel, but I figure now is a good time to stop, with my regular doctor's appointment coming up. Thanks for any guidance you can offer.
