Thank You for all the responses. I have not had any problem before this. My

doctor also faxes in my script, and they send it right on time with no charge

for shipping.

I still think it has something to do with them not wanting to lay money out to

stock it. Whatever it is, I am sure its a money issue.

If the Pharmacists know their job, they should know we need this to stay alive.

Now, I will stir them up some more. I just got approved with Novartis for 1 year

for an extra $15.00 off my co-pay on my Gleevec.

For anyone on Gleevec, type in www.cmlcircle. com and it will give you the

information to get extra help for 1 year. I think its based on how often you get

your Gleevec, and its also for Tasigna.

I received my card in the mail, and registered my numbers with Medco today.

Sandy:  I typed the wrong e-mail. It is www.mycmlcircle.com or 1 800 625-2333

I  have everybody signing up now for this help.  I really think Novartis is just

doing this temporary help because of the Economy also.

It is such a mess, and what we have to do to survive.

I just wish Bristol-Meyer Squibb (Sprycel) was as efficient as Novartis. I have

been waiting for weeks while they stumble over paper work. There seems to be no

end to the snafus!

,

Depending who is your insurance company with Script, which has a mail order

business, who will send me a 3 month supply of Gleevec instead of every 30 days.

Script works closely with Cigna HMO Insurance Company. Although I don't get any

other benefits from

my insurance company, because my husband is the employee who won't go into the

computer to learn how

to submit a medical claim, we currently have to pay

for the services and drugs upfront through our own charge cards. If this is

not the dumbest things men

at work can do, this is something he won't get his funds back out of. And if he

doesn't care, then why

should I?

Tell me again why Gleevec didn't work for you, and how long were you on this,

and at what milligram? I know you have complain in the past about fatigue, was

that from being Anemic?

I may have to change Gleevec 400 mgs.too, because I just cannot tolerate the

side-effects. I have has severe water in my ears for many years, and there

isn't one E.N.T., who could help drain and correct this problem.

I cannot take ANY antibiotics, nor steroid because they damage our bones anyway.

Is there such

thing as bone-pain in ones upper maxillary mouth?

These are the things I experiences, and now another body rash, as I think the

last medication for the ears brought on the rash.

I was told by MSKCC, in Memorial Sloan-Kettering last

year March 2008 that I was not going to be able to use Tasigna because I have

already experienced Acute Pancretitis attacks. Tasigna while on it targets and

damages the pancreas.

What milligrams will you be on when you do start Sprycel? Are you taking any

anti-oxidants? If you can afford, and depending where you are going for your

cancer medication, asked if you can take any Coenzyme Q-10, about 150mgs. per

night before bedtime. It will save your heart from the damages on most CML

drugs.

Hope your feeling better, and blessings to you !
