Surprise! We're pregnant

Hey guys,

I figured it was time to tell the world.  We're pregnant!  I am 15 weeks on

Monday.  We were NOT trying to get pregnant (quite the opposite) but we weren't

going to terminate, as suggested by the medical community, once we found out we

were pregnant.  I was forced to go off of the Gleevec by my doctor's legal

department even though I wanted to stay on 400mg and my doctor said that for me

staying on was best (my pcr numbers had started to rise slightly) but there's

not much I can do about that so I'll just hope that everything works out and

that my counts don't spike too high before they are able to put me back on

again.   I've had an issue with a subchiorionic hematoma causing bleeding for

the last month but other than those two issues everything is going well.  The

baby looked perfect so far at my ultrasound 2 weeks ago and my OB said he'd keep

a close eye on the baby along the way.  I'm hoping that they'll be able to take

the baby early so

that I'll have him/her before my birthday on the 18th....but not to

early...want a healthy baby most importantly.  We're hoping desperately for a

girl...my son will be 6 in February so a girl would just be perfect.  Anyway,

that's my news.  I hope everyone is doing well.  I'm sorry I'm not able to be on

as much as I used to be but life gets busy as you know.
