Guest guest
Virginia, You know exactly what I'm talking about! We ended up in a discussion about Team In Training, and said he thought about doing it, but was worried about fundraising. I told him I didn't think he'd have a problem at all..in my mind, I was thinking I bet just about everyone you have treated who was able to would support your effort! lol He is truly a special man. Beth P.S. Good luck in your marathon. In an act of faith, I signed up to walk a half marathon in October! [ ] Dr. Shah Dr. Shah was actually one of my doctors at UCLA, and he is fabulous. He did the initial work in Dr. Sawyers' lab on what causes resistance to Gleevec and became the major player in the Sprycel trials and is considered one of the top experts in the world on CML. On top of his brilliance, he is a man of great character and compassion. I miss him a lot. If I ever have any problems with Gleevec working, I will hot foot it to UCSF ( or wherever he is) in a New York minute! Virginia Garner I'm training for another marathon and fundraising to help find a cure for cancer.
